Frequently Asked Questions
What Is Telehealth Counselling? (And Why It Might Work for You)
In today’s world, counselling doesn’t have to happen face-to-face. Telehealth counselling allows you to access professional support from the comfort of your own home – whether you’re in a remote area, have a busy schedule, or simply prefer the privacy and ease of an online session.
Telehealth sessions can be held over video or phone, depending on what feels most comfortable for you. Just like in-person counselling, these sessions are confidential, supportive, and tailored to your individual needs.
Why Choose Telehealth?
- Convenience: You can fit sessions into your life more easily – no travel time, no parking worries.
- Accessibility: Ideal for people in rural or regional areas, or for those with mobility, health, or transport challenges.
- Comfort: Some people feel more at ease opening up in familiar surroundings like their own home.
Many clients have found that once they try it, telehealth feels just as personal and effective as meeting in a counselling room.
What You’ll Need
- A quiet, private space where you feel safe to talk.
- A stable internet connection (for video), or a phone with good reception.
- A device such as a smartphone, tablet, or computer with a camera and microphone (if using video).
- If you’re unsure whether telehealth is right for you, we can always have a chat to talk through your options. What matters most is that you feel supported in a way that works for you.
Counselling should meet you where you’re at – and with telehealth, that’s now easier than ever.
